African Queen Sailing Charters is owned by Frans Van Oers, with Peter Van Oers (Snr) as the Captain.
Between them they have many years of sailing experience on the Indian Ocean and are both qualified SAMSA Skippers.
Originally from Holland (1965) Peter, who has sailed on the North Sea with its large rivers besides the waters of Southern Africa, is a professional electrical, mechanical and marine Engineer.
Frans, an attorney by profession, has a lifelong passion for sailing, who started sailing at the age of 10. Operating the “African Queen” is an opportunity for him to introduce others to enjoy the sailing experience and to further advance the public interest in the sailing sport.
